Entry Fees

This is how the entry fees are used / broken down

Added Money**       100 % to the payouts

Entry Fee $              20 % goes to the club for yearend awards

80 % goes to the payouts

Ground / Office / Timer fee  - To the arena owner

Warm-up fee - To the arena owner

** Arena typically donates the added money

(This is how it works in MA02 but not everywhere.  The NBHA Director Rule Book says the district director can pay themselves 50% of the 20% collected from the runs plus 20% of any fundraising event that they are sponsoring. We do not pay ourselves, any money collected from either the 20% or fundraising! All money collected goes back to the club.)

Awards

Yearend awards are given as follows

Open Class Awards are given to every placing (1-5 in each division) regardless of the horse/rider combination. All ties will be broken as so only 5 awards are given per division.

Senior/Youth Class: Awards are given according to the highest points earned regardless of the division, riders competing on multiple horses can receive multiple awards (one per division)

Membership Status

Awards will only be presented to members who are “up to date” in their fundraising / awards fee status, ($50.00 profit from a fundraiser or a payment of $50.00 awards fee) and they must be a member in good standing, i.e. membership is active and are not in suspension. All current members must be up to date on awards fees/fundraising by July 31.

Soliciting / Working of Property

Any person working on a arena property i.e. providing services or selling items, must have written permission from the arena owner and must be presented to the office prior to the start of any of any sanctioned event. NBHA staff has the right to remove any solicitors working on property without arena owner's written permission.
